NIVEA Soft Moisturizing Cream

Its not good at all anymore. Used to be such good formula. My go to cream. Since they’ve changed to this vegan its become so drying. So sad… change it back to what it was!!

I vividly recall the original formula feeling extremely dewy, pleasant and ultra hydrating. I used it for so long that nothing could beat it. The vegan formula leaves a thick uncomfortable film on the skin, doesn't absord as well and the moisture disappears within minutes because it doesn't have a suitable replacement for the lanolin in it. The smell is very much the same and that's the only positive. I have to reapply 6 times a day and even then, my skin still feels like it's dry. I've tried all kinds of tricks like applying on wet skin and even adding a drop of glycerin and yet it still fails to lock in any hydration. Videos about this on social media have racked up hundreds of thousands of likes and views so Nivea are well aware of the problem but are seemingly ignoring it. Nivea soft desperately needs a reformulation even if you insist on keeping it vegan.

This moistutizer was the go to for everyone i know including myself for so many reasons, since the formula change one by one we have had to switch to something else, it no longer softly moisturizes but instead leaves a greasy sheen on the skin making it the cause of breakouts. On application it has caused me redness and burning unlike before where it did as it said, now no more soft easy application and you can also no longer layer with spf as it causes an itchy lather as if it were soap! I have trialed this every day for a year since the change and i am now going to switch to something softer and better for my skin, this classic has been ruined, please do not promote this moisturiser under "nivea soft" as its formula change has made it an entirely different product. Super disappointed.
